In a coup for the British fashion industry, the high-profile designer returned to the UK for London Fashion Week, unveiling a more tailored collection for SS 2010.

Matthew Williamson is arguably one of the biggest stars in the LFW line-up this season.  One of JosephM’s favourite ladies designers, Matthew Williamson the King of Colour is back….  In fact with both Matthew and Christopher Bailey for Burberry back for LFW, the press have helped draw the International press and buyers.  Christopher Bailey also been another favourite of ours as JosephM customers just love Burberry kids.

Matthew Williamson spring 10 collection which was shown at LFW yesterday has genearate a buzz.  It was amazing to be at Matthew’s Fashion show, surrounded by all of hype of press the buzz in the atmosphere was electric, with Celebrities such as Twiggy, Yasmin le Bon, Erin O’connor, Trish Goff and Jude Parfitt what a fantastic event to attend…

The colour pallette used played with vibrant fuschia and irodescent silvers, pairing with orange and green and more subtle shades of stone, olive and pebble.  With a sharper silohette, pieces were more body conscious, tighter, shorter and sleeker.  There were floaty maxi dresses, show-stopper gowns, colourful print dresses and LBD decorated with rhine stones.

Now that Matthew Williamson has three stores in London, Dubai and just recently New York, he wants to build his wholesale network so its important to be in front of the best buyers and press.  Our shop JosephM has been listed in the Drapers Record this week as one of his main stockist in the UK which we are very excited about.
